Is my window content uploaded?
Understand exactly what Cloakly can and cannot see on your device.
Short answer: No
Cloakly does not capture, record, or upload the contents of any windows — hidden or otherwise. Everything happens locally on your machine.
How the hiding mechanism works
Cloakly calls a Windows API to flag windows as excluded from screen capture. It does not read pixel data from those windows. The operating system enforces the exclusion at the driver level.
Network traffic
The only outbound network requests Cloakly makes are for authentication and licence validation when you sign in. You can verify this with a network monitor such as Wireshark.
